Any accident has a reason and this accident has a strong reason. Apart from the narrow bridge, the typical indian indiscipline and care for others has caused this accident. Always blaming govt is not correct. we need to see how good we indians in general about our civic sense and our conduct in public places . Why these things don't happen in Tokyo which has got one of the highest per Sq KM population density in the world ? Jumping from running train, hanging over train edges even when the train is empty, spitting from running train on people on platforms, urinating on platforms , scores of beggars on railway platforms having honeymoon are some of the things unique to India only.. Like it or not one of the worst civic sense public any one will find on earth.. Even few African countries are way better than us ..

Character of our weather should be made the responsibility of the railways. This vagabond weather which came to the bridge that day and killed and injured so many people should be arrested. Weather is a history sheeter with no fear of Mumbai Police. It comes and goes with impunity leaving a trail of destruction. This enquiry has revealed the high level of competence within the railway ministry which has been sabotaged by rain. Some senior railway officials should proceed to heaven by indian railway train to warn weather of such transgressions.
Every one knows that Mumbai cannot take any more population then why go there and get into trouble? If we are the problem,then no one can solve it.Avoid all the big cities.

Well said....The Govt. does not want to work at grassroot level....Half the population is illiterate and lives in a very poor condition...The Country lacks basic Infrastructure, Health and Education Facilities...Thanks to our Political system...and Politicians.... ...Everywhere you hear in news Rape, Murders, Dacoity, Loot, Snatching, Corruption, Eveteasing, Sexual Molestation, Students and Farmers Suicides, Train and Roads Accidents, Female Infanticide, Dowry Deaths, Wine Deaths etc. The list is very long...

Don't blame govt alone. we have scores of people who themselves want to be in poverty for reliefs and free ration.. Boozing, indulging in crime and theft, petty quarrels, loitering behind girls are their pass time and even you send them to school, they will bunk it to do all these non sense. They relate themselves to senseless violent heroes in movies and act in public as heroes for wrong causes.. Carrying knife, hitting and hurting some one if they protest give them kick .. Go to any city or town in india you will find in lakhs of this kind of characters .. Mumbai has scores of them known as mawalis ... Until we don't reform our society and get rid of these kind of sick mindsets and put a brake on population rise, this country will continue to see this kind of accidents day and day out ..

The government is not able to provide basic facilities and services at stations but dreams of bullet trains. Diamond merchant with heavy pockets more useful for BJP than common man… Regret voting for them will rectified for sure in future..
