Amid the celebrations on the verdict, we have to be prepared for the antagonistic response of the AIMPLB, the JUI, the Jamaat-e-Islami, and analogous organisations.
To avoid complications in this matter, it would be very useful, if Hon'ble Supreme Court draws up a detailed, enforceable User Manual for our bed rooms, since we never know, which of our actions may be considered as a misdemeanor by their Lordships.....
In the US the legal age of marriage is 16 with exception Who gives the Indian govt the right to legalise such an age ; WHich scientific paper did they consult to make it 18. This is against biology against nature. This will have adverse effects in the society

Since the legal age for marriage is 18 yrs in India, the ruling makes good sense. It will in fact discourage child and under age marriages in India and could also reduce the overall birth rate. Husbands of under aged girls will now face ten years in jail and you can imagine what it'll do to their ardour.
