In the shadows !
by Bharat Kumar on Oct 10, 2017 01:30 PM  | Hide replies

The bureaucrats operate in shadows and hid themselves behind the technocrats. They are good at pulling strings and create a play of puppets.

Political appointments to ministries are supposed to bring in talent laterally - one hoped like Messrs Prabhu, Goyal, etc. Mr Prabhu just found an excuse to jump out of the railways ministry which was going off track, Mr Goyal was greeted with a foot overbridge disaster and then the task of defending a suspect act of the son of his party president

Is it any surprise that professionals like Raghuram Rajan were dropped and Arvind Subramaniam rarely speaks about the economy which has been literally hollowed out?

Now everyone understand why the 7th pay commission took precedence over everything else. The finance minister nowadays doesn't speak, he only squeaks in protest.

Injustice to Non Govt sr citizens:
7th pay commission guarantees increased pay (as also Pension) in the name of DA matching with inflation for Govt employees. On the other hand, every quarter interest on small savings schemes are being brought down by the same bureaucrats who have ensured a handsome pension for themselves. It has become a challenge for non govt employees to manage in this scenario.
I appeal to the authorities to freeze the interest rates prevailing at the time of its deposit, particularly for the senior citizens.

Fully agreed.
How ever the govt should really see how much amount is being waisted in the name of regular pay increase to govt officials.
When the industries are under paralysis, the non govt workers or employees are hardly any amount left to enjoy this dewali, the present govt is distributing our tax money to govt persons for the sake of adminstration!
Can a single govt official earn a rupee by him self in doing any type of business!
they can only enjoy the revenue earned by others and Govt. have been nourishing them by increasing the salary, DA etc.
A time will come no one will earn rather prefer to enjoy and by doing so, the entire social/economic scenario will be dumped .
