The govt has become impotent
by brian crasto on Oct 23, 2018 02:40 PM

The laws are made by the government ie the MPs and the Supreme Court has just to interpret the laws. So the Supreme Court cant be really blamed. The law makers are to be blamed. All the cases like the Sabrimala , section 377 of crpc. etc. is due to the poor understanding of lawmakers

Ban on sale of firecrackers
by Rajive Ahuja on Oct 10, 2017 11:59 AM

Unable to understand the intention of court.Sale is banned but not the blowing of firecrackers. How it will reduce the polution level.
Suggetion to dealers sale is banned not the free distribution.request them to distribute their stock to under privilege childs just to challenge the court judgement

Supreme court is just starting to act as arrogant a dictator.

Modi government should bring a session to overrule Supreme court direction in parliament just like the corrupt congress did in Shah bano case.

According to SC 364 days of vehicular pollution. Burning the field for New crop in Punjab and haryana. 365 days coal based power plants around delhi. 365 days polluting industries and ofcourse gasses exausted from their backyard every Friday during namaz does not cause pollution but one day burning of fire crackers caused pollution

SC in a corner
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Oct 09, 2017 06:43 PM

SC may be justified on grounds of air quality to place a ban, but DElhi's problems are not because of crackers. Also, with such a ban, the SC will be forced to take difficult decisions on slaughter of goats during Bakrid etc and is setting a tricky precedent. SOmeone will raise a PIL on this. They could have painted themselves into a corner here.
