The divide where the poorest 30 percent have just 1.4 percent of the total wealth and the top 10 percent controlled about 74 percent of national wealth as published by Credit Suisse, leaving24.6 of wealth to the remaining is THE DIVIDE we INDIAcannot afford first.Despite being a socialist country by the 42nd Amendment in 1976(40 years have gone by) to the constitution our Govts had not ensured that wealth is generated socially and shared equally by society.Governments (and the opposition should have questioned things on this in Parliament)should have regulated the ownership of land and industry to reduce socio-economic inequalities. The divide here is too great and we have failed that amendment .It will be great if the P.M. gives importance to this, and does not allow banks to give loans like 44000 crores to one or two or 10 corporates and he should let the Govt. run industries and that too efficiently He should make the the account of Local Area Development fund Public :how much we had spent what development had come about. He should ensure that these details are positively prepared in India by agencies dealing with Economics -now outsiders point out the lopsidedness and OUR INDIAN ECONOMICS IS COMFORTABLY HAPPY TELLING IN CHORUS GDP(does it meanGREAT DIVIDE in PROSPERITY?)every year linking our GDP to the rise in Standard of living of the common man and the distribution of national wealth R.PONNAMBALAM

If this needs to stop, dividing them as dalits needs to stop..never mind a cattle feeder will never understand this..
PM Narendra Modi should understand that the continued use of non-free computing systems in all government infrastructure furthers 'digital divide' across the breadth of free Bharath. The Government of India should promulgate orders that mandate the use of free/GNU computing solutions across its various ministries and institutions, free software is more secure and all citizens can have unfettered access to such systems. The PMO has to issue directives for the use of free/GNU computing solutions immediately lest the digital divide gets to become unbridgeable and a block in India's march to full Swaraj.

Why not free hardware? Free cars? Free petrol.
The PM’s laudable goal, albeit too ambitious, appears far removed from reality. Basic literacy is key for socio-economic progress. With our literacy rate of 74% [well below world average of 84%] and having world’s largest illiterate population how far can we go for ‘digital-literacy’ is anybody’s guess. The 10% decrease in allocation on e-learning lays bare the government’s real intent!

We are indeed fortunate that naysayers like you have always been smothered. :-) You guys tried it in 1990 too but were thwarted. :-)

Pls re-read my post. It is hard-core data. Blind adulation and smothering valid dissent will not help our PM achieve the goals he has set for the country.

Pls re-read my post. If you were around in 1990, then Rajeev Gandhi would have not been helped. Correct. :-)

You have a valid point that literacy rate needs to be improved. This should happen regardless of digital stuff. Right now digital will help people who are educated in performing actions. Also there should be possibility of manually doing it for illiterate people as well.
nasal tone in his very grating voice (kraaaa....kraaaa.......kraaa...... is the nearest articulation perhaps possible for his braying voice), coupled with his theatrics on stage and his desperate attempts to defend the indefensible, may even begin to tell on the nerves of the stupxidest segment of the Indian population - North Indian commoners !
Case of making even stupxid people wake up to reality with the sheer volume of lies and half lies dished out to them ?

Kalia stinking komaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaali whatefver nonsense you may write against Modi and BJP out of depression, frustration, jealousy it will not have absolutely no effect. Butbeing a totally useless and jobless man, one can not stop you from writing long and useless comments and repeated copy paste as it is the only activity you can afford to pass all your idle time free of cost. Have you ever written anything about the party you blindly support, their vote share on all India level and the reasons why they are rejected by the people all over the country for years ?
