Couldn't do it better or right for India in Economic development
by R ponnabalam on Nov 21, 2017 02:14 PM

Good article. But the country would like to know something about the approach and achievement in the domain of economic and industrial development of India and institutional up keep..It is a country of vast resources which has become a living symbol of waste resources.Unlike Jawaharlal Nehru she did mean business in safeguarding the boundaries of the country and outsmarted the machinations aimed at dismembering India even though even now that game is in Play.Credit where due goes to her;but the hollow industrialization we achieved as compared to neighbours and the poor standard of living of ordinary man and the bank mismanagement which is said to have started from her times would be and have to beremembered for what they are and it would rankle India that she with a silver spoon in mouth couldn't do it better for India R.PONNAMBALAM

No doubt, she was fearless.
After a long interval in politics, we are now having Modi as fearless PM.

Indira: The Giant of Human Heart and Mind

Rajmani! you have done full justice in your narratives. We may not have many to come near her greatness. Fools talk of bad of her without knowledge much less sensitivity. There is no dearth of such people.

A matter of great regret!
by Venkatesa Prabhu on Nov 20, 2017 08:17 PM

It is a matter of extreme regret that the Discussion Boards are often divided along religious lines or ethnic lines ... seldom on national line. If it is a Paul Theo or a Mohammed Shaikh, their comments have to be anti-BJP. And among Hindus, it has to be either BJP supportive or anti-BJP again. Will we think along what is good for India and not be divided the way we are?

She made corruption a way of life in India..
She always shown partiality to AP.
She is always very positive to UP/BIHAR/MP/RAJ/TN/WB..rest of india is just a vote milking machines..
She made telegus to clean her shoes.. but she did not give telegus vizag steel plant.. But the ganduls voted voted indira always..
it is shree Morarji Desai who sanctioned the vizag steel to AP..

The entire Central Govt. has disregarded the Industrial development of Kerala and Tamilnadu.Look at the spread of Govt. of Industries in these two states with the other states or the other two states in neighbourhood. The Cental Govt. favoured Congress ruled state and deprived the communist and D.M.K ruled states R.PONNAMBALAM

Corruptions have many form and shape, and the worst of all was to see objective realities with subjective slants as you have done.

The greatest ever

There are two types of politician. One is a good party leader and the other a good prime minister. Indira, Rajiv were good party leaders. PV Narasimha Rao, Lal Bahadur Shastry were good prime ministers. How can I forget how easy it was to get basic facilities like a phone, a gas connection, a simple two wheeler etc. during her times. She singlehanded uprooted corruption from India. A very great leader indeed !!

APPRECIATE INDIRAJI.....
by Sahoo Dhruba on Nov 20, 2017 03:44 PM

I appreciate Indiraji for her contribution to the nation, not congress.

Today congress has gone to such low level that there is no one to lead the nation. Corruption, bhrastachar, theft are the ideology of Congress.

So forget Congress as party of past, see the future...

Great Indian Tradition ...
by Venkatesa Prabhu on Nov 20, 2017 03:44 PM

One should follow the great Indian tradition of never speaking ill of a departed soul. I guess Mr Rajamani did the same ... besides, being compounded by the fact that he worked in the PMO for a very long duration. Association and time makes the heart go fonder, UNLESS of course bitterness has set in much earlier. This is a classic instance of fond nostalgic memories of a devoted junior colleague.

Tangutoori Prakasham who is mentioned in this article was a brave freedom fighter but he is not foolhardy or reckless enough to bare his chest to bullets. The myth of his challenging a British police officer to shoot him in the chest was created by his admirers.
