Indira
by arungopal agarwal on Nov 17, 2017 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

India had Nehru and Indira as great Prime Ministers, did their best for the country during their tenure. At present Modi has filled the vacuum, and surpassing everyone.

I dont agree they gave their best. If they really did, the best was not good enough. We are still counted as a poor country after more than 60 years of independence.

One of the key reason for that is there was practically no competition to the dynasty (like it is now for Modi). They made sure there is none by creating a coterie of servile yes men.

Absolute power corrupts my friend. I hope Modi doest make those mistakes. He should correct the two evils which has been consuming india for long - Corruption and Caste politics (reservations) politics if India has to be come a developed nation someday.

decision makers
by c vm on Nov 17, 2017 10:14 AM

In India Decision making is individualistic with no consultation or second opinion. That is how PMs have been ruling us and the destiny of India is in the hands of a Single Leader. So in that course HIMALAYAN BLUNDERs can happen like of Nehru in Indo-China war, Indira gandhi on POK and POW (90k-without even bargaining for release of our great warriors from Army and Airforce who were mercilessly left as POWs in Pakistan and whose pathetic stories are still haunting us ) in Shimla agreement or Rajiv Gandhi's Indian Peace keeping Force fighting on behalf of Ceylon with LTTes , (inturn hundreds of our soldiers got butchered by LTTe while SRILANKAN SOLDIERs were watching the fun sitting in rested position in their barracks playing and enjoying); Atleast Indiraji did a historical decision making leaving her Blunders aside that she dealt with Khalistani movement firmly with the help of the then DG of Punjab Shri Gill who was a Patriot to the core.

PAK-US-BRITS AND NOW JOINED BY CHINA COULD STILL SUCCEED
by damodaran mohan on Nov 16, 2017 03:02 PM  | Hide replies

I agree, she was true nationalist and patriot who sacrificed her life for the sake of country as she loved it immensely. But now with motely crowd of Hindu religious bigots calling themselves nationalists gradually taking over it is becoming easier for the PAK-U.S.- British axis joined by China to still Balkanize India.
