Nothing will happen

Sharma's job is a futile attempt to achieve some results, which currently looks impossible. The Kashmiris have a latent hatred for our armed forces, and there is no stop in the activities of terrorists, who clearly have the support of the locals. Kashmir valley today is one of the most disturbd places on earth. This gov't has run out of ideas to bring some modicum of peace there. However, our armed forces bosses are daily telling that terrorists activities are on the wane after demonetisation, whereas in actuality deaths of jawans and police personnel have increased.

Kashmir talks.
by A.Hameed on Nov 06, 2017 10:12 PM  | Hide replies

The question is simple. There is a trust deficit between the masses in Kashmir and the Govt. Many negotiations have taken place in the past one decade and the reports submitted after prolonged efforts of the previous nominees of the Govt of India as these reports presented by eminent persons are gathering dust. During intervals there has been blood shed in Kashmir. They shower pellet guns & have a season of blood bath and by the time another hundred people are mercilessly killed they send someone to talk. How are talks possible in such an atmosphere. The foremost thing is to evolve a policy on Kashmir. Even Mr. Yehwant Sinha seems disappointed as his honest approach to Kashmir issue has been disregarded.
As regards the Army they must go to the border and stop infiltration, if there is any. That has to be their foremost responsibility, instead of giving statements on Kashmir.
Every responsible Indian would probably agree to this approach. Simultaneously, abusing those who vote for such an approach and mind it abusing Kashmiris will never help India.

About Kashmir & Central govt.
by fairoze pasha on Nov 06, 2017 05:52 PM  | Hide replies

Simply , our Central govt is doing time-pass work with kashmir issue, it is not serious about solution of 5 decades old issues, first govt should call back Army from citizens zones and send them on Ino-Pak border for security of our borders. kashmiri police is enough to hand internal situation. dont know what is the use of army in general public area for such a long time. we should love the kashmiri people not just land.

Govt is absolutely doing timepass on this. The Kashmiri separatists only want to be wooed. They take no steps to resolve the issue and expect the Govt to do everything. Unless both hands want to clap, it doesn't work. The Kashmiri separatist hand is frozen on the trigger of an AK-47

Pasha, that has already been a tried and failed strategy. The Army was confined to the barracks and the border. So the Kashmiris found it easy to lynch Police men on duty. Fact is Kashmiris want only themselves and probably Paki army in the valley.
All this talk of granting autonomy etc is a load of BS. They want the land (so that it can be merged with Pak)which belonged to the Raja who acceded to India in the hope that it will be protected. Only way that seems available is to make it imposible for the Kashmiris to live there. They must be made to flee unable to bear the genocide. India may face sanctions for some time but that is the permanent solution.
