Whole of India is tourist destination. Taj is just one.Khajuraho,Meenakshi temple,Konark,Mount Abu,Terracotta temples of Bishnupur,the list is endless. There are places of natural beauty,too.All monuments including Taj were built by skillful and hard working Indians.

INDIA HAS MANY MAGNIFICENT MONUMENTS AND TEMPLES, BUILT BY DIFFERENT PAST RULERS,HISTORY CANNOT BE REPEATED AGAIN AND THOSE NARROW MINDED POLITICIANS WHO WANT TO PREACH HATRED, JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE BRAIN WASHED IN NAGPUR, IS DEPLORABLE
but Taj is made by Mugals is fantacy created in past, as Kutub Minar by Kutub, Lal Qila by Shahjahan. Taj was not made for burial of Mumtaz initially by Hindu kings. Kutubuddin ruled for short period and that short period it can not be built. Lal Quila was intially a Lal Kot, made by Anantvijay, the Nana of Prthiviraj long back. They were all have their history , it can be proved archaeologically if applied honestly. All these historical places have some symbols and pictures which are found in Indian Buildings since ancient time. of course Taj attracts tourists and so it has importance for us and Agra needs some improvement in its roads to have smooth ride. UP Govt. and local bodies should pay attention in this regard.

EVERY INDIAN SHD BE PROUD OF OUR MONUMENTS, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO BUILT IT, ONLY IN INDIA WE HAVE SOME HOT HEADS WHO TALK OF OUR GREAT MONUMENTS WHICH ATTRACT A LOT OF TOURISTS , WHO PAY IN TOP DOLLARS
For tourists is Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The confluence of Ajanta, Ellora, Deogiri & other attractions including Bibi ka Makbara which is Aurangzeb's version of Taj attract the maximum tourists
in South India Which is attracts most tourists Foreign and Indian. TN, Karnataka, Goa are the top tourist destinations in India and Taj is certainly not in any one of those states.
