I had very long experience of 40 yrs on high pressure boiler operation and maintenance , and running turbine as generator. If I get a data and makers specification can pin point the problem.The Probable cause are.1.THE FURNACE blow back due to excess furnace pressure.2. Second rare chance of safety valve malfunctioning, because they are fitted two in nos on boiler steam drum and two in nos on super heater out let. so all 4 can not fail at one go.3. water hammering occur on some pipe which was not warm up properly and drained out. Otherwise explosion is not possible in running boiler unless sabotaged . in plants other units are feed heaters, deaerator, drain coolers boiler feed tanks and turbine condensing unit. steam plants are highly safe in generation of electricity. c.b.deo. engineer
If the accident has occured under exraordinary circumstances which was totally unavoidable , if the same is found after an unbiased enquiry it can be pardoned off, but if it is due to lack of maintenance or negligence on the part of the plant administration then it is very serious as it involved 26 lives.
Sad news!! : After seeing the picture shown in which you can see most of the spectators are busy taking photos of the tragic scene what again comes in my mind is that we could declare India's National Hobby as "taking Selfies/snaps". Majority of our fellow citizens are born photographers. Many are so obsessed with this skill that if witnessing an unfortunate accident / calamity they neglect to even extend the smallest help to the victims and instead are found busy taking snaps and videos of the accident site and victims. There is a race to post share and like these on Facebook, Watsapp and so on.....
Yogi is another example of corrupt politicians. He is on official tour of three days in Mauritius using public earned money. That would cost more than five life of a common man as per his decision. In fact his opinion say that 2 lakhs (his one month salary) are sufficient for a loss of common life.
please i am 100% sure china chemical using for boiler and they mixed up with some chines salt which is very low cost damage boiler.Check all office of purchasing are involved and lost life of lower daily wages employee. Very shame when corruption will finish from INDIA????
