The beef ban and other bans
by daniel thorat on May 30, 2017 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

The docile, divided and non-resisting people of this great nation explains why we were ruled by foreign powers for a thousand years before our Independence in 1947. But the reckless use of powers in promulgating such orders as the demonetization, beef ban, cattle ban etc. is not only wrong and unjust but smacks entirely of hidden communal intentions. What would one do if tomorrow the govt. orders all citizens to consume gaumutra or gomay for health reasons or other false and concocted grounds. We need to look beyond India at the vast, wide world and its people and not rush to blame others for being guided by China or Pakistan.

Porota Beef

is the national food of Kerala. It may be highly greasey or starchy but people including Hindus in Kerala love it.
None can impose or remove food habits. Beef is taken by people around the world. Why Modi shaking hands with those beef eaters abroad and begging them to invest in India?

How very right you are, Sir. If you consider the various such other decisions taken by our govt. in the last couple of years, it becomes crystal clear that, perhaps, all such decisions are meant only to DIVERT peoples` attention away from the failure in several essential, urgent and promised things.

Rediff is pro anti national channels and just won't let the people opposed to killing of cows to put up their views. Hindus should boycott this channel.
