Given this desperate situation, komaaaali partymen in Kerala go hammer and tongs at anything they imagine could become a handy tool to criticize the Congress and the Left front.
Prime among their criticisms of the Congress party is that the latter is immensely more corrupt than their own party.
Given this scenario, it was a huge surprise that they chose to remain very silent about the most damning bit of evidence of big corruption against the Congress that has surfaced in recent times - the CAG report that castigated the earlier Congress led govt of Kerala for signing an agreement with Adani Enterprises to build a seaport at Vizhinjam in Trivandrum!
The most salient feature of this agreement is that while the govt of Kerala would make a profit of Rs. 13900 crores over 20 years with its investment of Rs 5070 crores now, Adani is given an assured return of Rs. 1.5 lakh crores with an investment of just Rs. 2400 crores !
This huge bit of corruption on the part of the Congress party (the BJP led central govt that gleefully gave the go ahead for this project

in 2015 is excused for arguments sake) ought to have galvanized komaaali party men in Kerala into shrill cries of murder, high corruption, public protests and processions, loud calls for judicial inquiries, calls for a white paper, relentless toil at telling the people about the hugely corrupt nature of the Congress party, gheraos, dharnas, fasts, marches, human chains...............
What more could the komaaaali party have asked for as a handy tool to hit the Congress with in Kerala and hopefully garner much needed and much sought after public attention for itself ?
Yet....yet........BJP men in Kerala did nothing at all of the sort !
Further, they remained silent about it !
Its lone MLA, O.Rajagopal, did not utter a word about this corrupt act of the Congress in the assembly while debates were raging about it !
And.....and......when mediamen confronted them with the question why they are so silent about the CAGs damning report indicting the former Congress led UDF govt, BJP leaders actually ventured to even defend the Congress by saying that the report of the CAG is to be *studied* before they can comment on it !!
When Gautam Adani is the man, the komaaaali party and the Congress are two little equally servile canines at his feet !!
Modi is so fond of popularity, one can find his photos in every newspaper - whether spontaneous of the papers or being forced to publish. One must earn the popularity not forced upon.
