Should such a letter have been written is now being discussed.If a letter is addressed to 12000 officers individually by the Air Chief,it can not remain secret.Sooner or later it will be in public domain.This is a hard fact and must be accepted.Air Chief has done well in writing this letter.There can not be two opinions on the subject.
Better such news are not made public,will only benefit hostile nations.
As far as 'present holdings' are concerned,beside war fighting facilities,high morale is also very important which all living in the country should know.Moreover when need is there,citizens have always stood up with the army the same will be this time.

Pro pakistan journalists and website owners are always on the lookout for publishing such type of information and the media crazy Indian public do not see their sinister motives.
who should be answering to the Nation in case this shortfall leads to a real pressure on us as a Nation !!! Anthony or any other Fefence Minister who could not accord serious considerations !! Why not the Chiefs of the Army , Airforce and Navy who should have had courage to call spade a spade and ask for the budget when we are under constant threat all along our borders !!! There is no friend who can rescue us then ?? Our relations with Russaia are also not so sound ?? Why !!! Who is to answer all these questions ? Jai Hind !! Vande Matram !!!

The information of such kind should have to be treated as very confidential. How it is leaked is the question? Govt.and security personnel should investigate in this matter.

No matter whatever preparedness the Army or Airforce does ultimately they have to listen and follow the Political masters at Delhi for actions Look what happened in Kashmir the Army was ready to defeat Pak but our leader stopped them same story is going to be repeated again so our Army should be given independent decision making in case of National emergency but is it going to happen in India
