.....a perceived aggressor is not being communal. YOGI the chief-minister is a strong, assertive and competent person who can deal effectively with the task of managing a huge administrative team of a state government responsible for a population equal to that of Germany, France and England put together.

Liberal is a state of mind
by Bharat Kumar on Mar 20, 2017 12:53 PM

Being liberal is a state of mind, ready to accept and process multiple points of view. One who isn't liberal necessarily, it appears, has to abuse liberals to be accepted into the fold of whatever the non-liberal is called - hopefully, not radical !

A radical approach to religions carries with it a missionary zeal - to convert. Goa got independent from Portugal much later, because a majority of them were converted and preferred to stay with Portugal.

Being secular and liberal, means having an ability to defend oneself from such divisive and foreign forces which use the differences to rule over us.

If the current government drops the religious refrain in extreme, they will be the true liberals

I am a stanch supporter of BJP and Modi. However I felt that it is suicidal for BJP's selection of Yyogi Adityanath as CM of UP. Congress and all other p[arties will get scope to criticize and downgrade BJP.
