Why people get angry is because celebrities in India have double standards. They will speak of intolerance during Dadri, Church attacks, etc, but will keep mum when Hindus are at the receiving end in Bengal, Kashmir, Kerala, etc

Absolutely true what is stated in the article. But if you express your opinion on valid points in a logical but polite way not crossing the laxmana rekha making the people to think over nobody wld troll you.But many celebrities comment/express on spur of the moment/off the cuff that antagonise some sections. Also opinions of honest/principled personnel are always appreciated by netizens/educated/elite.Of course celebrities should not be hypocrites to express sermons without first observing for themselves as they are public figures and even their personal lives are under scanner by millions of their fans as well as adversaries. This is the cost Celebrities have to pay for the stardom, money& adulation they enjoy
why many Indian celebrities, whom gullible Indian commoners venerate god-like, do not speak out against the government for its increasing acts of infringement on personal liberties is that they are all big time thieves and have a lot to lose if they do so !
For instance, Amitabh Bachan, who is revered god-like by many Indian commoners, can never speak out against attempts by the governments goons to muzzle free speech because he is a big time thief whose massive evasion of taxes came out into the open through the Panama papers revelations !
Some Indian celebrities have spoken on intolerance in the past. Whether it was for genuine cause? or whether they were playing in to hands of some obsolete idealogies...?
