The people Mr. Preet Bharara prosecuted, belong to a number of different races, religions, backgrounds and have origins in countries all over the world. He cannot be expected to turn a blind eye or take it easy just because someone has the same country of origin as himself. Just because he prosecuted someone of a particular country does not mean he went after him or her only because that person belonged to a particular country, whether he or she did anything illegal or not. This kind of criticism is really immature and inane.
That he survived in one of the toughest jobs for as long as he did and won as much as he did is an ample testimony to the fact that he took up cases that had basis and prosecuted those who deserved to be punished.
utter shameless rediff & journalist sarkar is giving bararra a mileage who humiliated Devjani Khobragade at US on a trumped up charge. Get some spine & self respect. Thats asking too much as rediff is sold out
During his tenure, this man, like a zealous convert, was rabidly anti-Indians. The last person he hounded out was a dalit lady, Devayani, on trivial issues.
He got it back, from someone as self-willed as he himself. No regrets, no sympathies.
He is smart, brave, ethical, and successful. He is accomplished, and has contributed much to USA. It is because of people like him, law is respected, and anyone venturing to break or circumvent the law of the land, would think twice. Hats Off to Mr. Preet Bharara.
There is criticism, that he only went after the big fish, but it is clear, he did not just prosecute bankers or politicians but from across spectrum of the society. Ordinarily for most part, the everyday jobs are handled by the people at the lower levels, be it in banks or Government offices and corruption or harassment, that ordinary people face are perpetrated by the little fish at the lower levels and it is vital, they are not spared as well.
There is a wish and speculation that Mr. Preet Bharara would run for NY city Mayor or NY state Governor, but I hope he would first write a book including his experiences as DA, that could among others, set straight the fact that he prosecuted nefarious elements of all shades and sizes. Such a book would inspire not just individuals in legal profession but beyond, as society would be well served with more people like him.
The flip side to his stellar attorney career is the enemies he might have created in direct proportion to his success, who would be ready to pounce on even a little lapse, legal or ethical on his part. Heretofore, he could never be too cautious.

Viewers may read The Sunday Guardian of today. He framed cases against 40 persons of India including our PM Modiji. Is the writer of this article biased ?
