The rout in Punjab?
What does that show?
You cannot cheat all the people all the time.
It is time for the BJP to give a wake up call.

THE YADAV AND THE BADAL DYNASTIES ARE OUT FOR SURE.
by damodaran mohan on Mar 10, 2017 02:39 PM  | Hide replies

The Exit polls this time around appear to be more accurate and in U.P. BJP looks to be headed towards comfortable majority due to Modi's popularity as man of action. Besides, Akhilesh's blunder of giving 100 plus seats to Congress means it is virtual walkover for BJP in 70-80 seats where it is fighting Congress directly in a triangular fight with BSP. So where from Akhilesh is going to make up this huge chunk of easy picking of seats for BJP? Thus it is certain BJP is romping home comfortably w/o any hitch and there will be no room for any hung house or coalition. The single biggest positive of the state elections have been that the two powerful dynasties ---Yadavs in UP and Badals in Punjab are dethroned for sure and should send the right signal to dynastic politics in states across the country. People in the two states should be vigilant to ensure that these dynasties do not return any time soon in future. Regarding Mayawati she has lost votes from the entire non-dalit Hindu community due to her direct appeal to minorities for votes. She couldn't have managed any substantial minority votes to due to Akhilesh's better credibility with them. So the prospects of her becoming UP CM is closed not just this time but for ever as her vote bank has shrunk to just Dalits alone now and no way she can get even 50 seats. On the other had Congress should be lucky to touch double figures although they could form govt. in Manipur but losing in U-khand and Goa for sure.

(cong.) In Punjab C stands 50-50 chance should SAD have cleverly managed to transfer their core votes to C-party instead to stop AAP from getting the majority.

Exit polls.
by satya saka on Mar 10, 2017 11:03 AM

I think the BJP may have to do serious thinking about their future. Its a tough call for both parties and a well contested political fight. The margins may be less but a small swing will matter a lot. JNU, Triple Talak, and demonetization are critical issues. which is taken up with development card. sure India needs BJP the most but will they be able to win.

Hilary Clinton was made to belive she would be the next President of America. Such was the media power that they took Hilary for a grand ride and left her as a hot potato.
So take the exit results in the opposite direction. When they say sweep it means rout. if they say 230 plus it means 23 seats. In my view it could be a SP congress combine with an absolute majority

Let it be EVM tinkering. Who cares. Is EVM tinkering is special right of congress and SP only?
