What about cancer causing tobacco products and worst of all GUTKHA? They should be banned/boycotted because they pose more health threats to the society. people who consume them also spit around carelessly.

Not selling Coca-cola & Pepsicola
by Gladyschellam on Mar 02, 2017 12:53 PM

Taking areated waters Coco-cola or any other products are not naturally good for health, though the govt has permitted hitherto with certain specifications. Of course these two multinational companies products removed/replaced the local manufacturers prevailed for long till 1970s.
What about the alternates (though it is not essential)?
Whether the reasons stated by the Traders have any meaning?
One reason stated that it draws huge water from various places in TN - but does not speak about the alternate of Indian beverages as they may also draw same quantum of water for their produces.
Reg Health point of view, the same yardstick is applicable to Indian made products and what is the guarantee Indian producers could lesser harm products, despite the government's specifications.
Taken for arguments about Videshi products, what about other foreign companies' products inclusive of Health care products, medicines etc. Will they stop selling those products?

However I am not supporting taking of any type of beverages as they are harmful.

IBA's Joke
by Ganapathy Mohanraj on Mar 02, 2017 12:49 PM

If Consumers have the right to exercise their choice, doesn't the sellers have that? Can they not opt for not selling things that they don't like? Moreover, people are boycotting on their own right for which the sellers are supporting. IBA wants goods sense to prevail, which must be the biggest joke....
