Intolerance means an inability to let anyone express an opinion different from one's own. Objective considerations are simply not relevant for the intolerant. There are people in BJP and RSS who haven't forgiven Gurmehar for making a strong case for peace with Pakistan. The heat she had to face in the present case is just an opportunity that these war mongerers cleverly contrived to destroy her standing among the young, perceptive youth in the country. Anyone who says anything appreciative of Pakistan is interpreted as an enemy of the nation. Amitabh Bacchan took exception to Harsha Bhogle's commendation of a particular stoke by a Pakistani batsman. With the clout he enjoys with the BJP and the media establishment, he has been able to destroy the young talented commentator's. Our politicians and celbrities are all falling victim to the virus of intolerance.
