He is and has been a fully dedicated to RSS and all its agenda for many years, and his "Dalit" presence or contribution appears to be zero. He will certainly carry on the RSS Hindutva agenda after becoming the President, for which precise purpose he has been chosen by PM. Already we are being governed by people like "Yogi CM" and almost all govt. positions/posts are being filled in by RSS people. BJP and RSS were never separate entities but were one and the same all the time. We were only mislead by BJP/RSS saying that RSS is only a "culture"adviser and BJP is separate. Now all know the facts. The President is the supreme commander of Indian armed forces and although Presidents in the past have been merely ceremonial positions having no power or courage to instruct their councils of ministers, the new RSS President would smoothen things up for the govt.
Irony died a thousand death- a nobody called Chandrabhan Prasad (who is he? never heard of him before this article) is saying he has never heard of Kovind before doing anything for dalits! Prasad's only claim to fame right now is criticising Kovind's candidature! Couldn't Rediff get anyone better??

Great courage has been shown in Kerala by killing innocent calves in broad daylight and by making it appear in national channels!!!Ridiculous!!
What way other presidents were different from Sh. Kovind. If someone does something good for the deprived section of Hindu society such elements feel threatened and start talking non sense.
Shame on REDIFF!! Rediff can never think beyond pseudo secularism and RSS. Kovind seems to be a wise calm and literate man. Do you feel that being Dalit is a sin??? Let him take the credit of being a good person irrespective of caste.

Rediff facts need to be applauded. During past 79 years of my life I have never heard the name Kovind even once. Suddenly, I am told incredible things about the new, likely President.

Now DALIT !What has Congress done for 50 years out of 60 for the upliftment of socially down trodden.Kerala’s Sir C.P.R.Iyer sanctioned temple entry to the socially down trodden,E.V.R. in TamilNadu fought for social equality in Tamilnadu.Mahatma Phule had fought against social discrimination.WHAT HAS THE CONGRESS OR C.P.M. done for the social upliftment of socially down trodden when the movements in Kerala. Maharastra and Taminadu had been already there as example or what has the BJP done after it became a force to reckon with.Did they initiate educational programmes for them.When proselytization of socially down trodden there the Govts. In India were allowing it as vote bank strategy.
