If you dont appoint a dalit then bjp is called baniya brahmin party . if they appoint a dalit they say appeasement , vote bank etc . as if other parties are not doing ?
Who is this unknown Dalit thinker Chandrabhan Prasad.It is the first time anyone is even hearing his name.What is his contribution to Dalits?Archana Masih and rediff must answer before interviewing people with such doubtful credentials.

When your journalist aks on the impact did Mr Narayanan's Presidency have on the Dalit cause?.Mr. Chandrabhan beats around the bush statig Narayanan's personal and diplomatic achievements!! How did his personal chievemnts helped Dalits to better their lives? Why did Congress and Communists not improved Dalit lives since last several decades? To leave the task to BJP and Modi???

Exactly my point. KRN at best was a more erudite person that RNK the current nominee. I am at my wits end to understand how does representing India at US in a critical time or reviving relations with China or being VC of JNU or being a minister in Congress govts & then VP contribute towards the better life for the Dalits at that time? If at all KR Narayanan would be more well known in the circles compared to RN Kovind but that does not in anyway prove that KRN contributed for the betterment of Dalits. So what kind of a absurd comparison is being made just for the sake of belittle ling any candidate the NDA would have chosen?
