If we leave these writers freely, they will even state
“The Chinese military who simply want to learn how to make roads have been blocked by Indian force.”

DHOKLAM STAND OFF
by Thomas Philip on Jul 26, 2017 04:05 PM  | Hide replies

What India needs to take into consideration is Bhutan's stand.Flexing its muscle in Bhutanese territory can be counterproductive since Bhutanese public opinion may turn against India for interfering too much in a dispute between India and China.Bhutan had not really "invited" India to intervene.

WELL SAID.either he is ignorant of reality or intentionally acting as agents of communists.
Do we allow China to eat away Bhutan as they did earlier in case of Tibet. we fools keep ourself indifferent to the happenings in Tibet.
does he think Britishers who ruled most of the World were fools that they did not allow China to touch Tibet, but our Nehruji------------. lost Tibet to win the love of China and what we got , a strong kick in our back in 1962.
does this man want to have another kick?

India is there in DHOKLAM more IN THE INTEREST OF INDIA .A fight of any nature be it a street fight between two men or between states is not managed by waiting till the opponent slaps you or fires on you.that is the DEFENCE.R.Ponnambalam

India's presence in DHOKLAM is more in the interest of India.Instead of coming directly on India China makes way through DOHKLAM to strangle siliguri.By moving into DOHKLAM China has raised it's Right Hand (Right arm)to slap India.India has to see to it that the slap does n't fall on it's face R.Ponnambalam

Standoff with China!

It is a pity most writers are playing to the gallery. While this author has a title screaming " ...military presence along LAC rattles China", some others holding a view against the Modi government mouth that "China is about to attack India". I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Certainly China is looking to flex its muscle and the only power that poses a threat to Chinese hegemony in Asia is India. Besides, India is also a nuclear power and China recognizes this. Not only that, they also recognize that they may gain advantage by seizing some territory and then begin bargaining. They have seen India throw away such huge advantages in the past with Pakistan on 3 occasions. So they would NOT mind trying to flex their muscles. Sadly for them, other nations in Asia all have border problems with China including Russia. So it is easier said than done for China to attack India.

It is sure that in the event of military confrontation, if at all happens so, then in all possibilities this will escalate to very larger confrontation after which who knows what will be China's status. I think it is China who will be the worst loser.

Doklam situation

Hopefully most of what Mr Shukla says is true and we are well prepared in the East as well as the West AND Centre. And hopefully, we were formally asked by Bhutan to intervene. India's small pinpricks to China like the Dalai and the BRI are part of the problem, but a much bigger part is the aggressive push against nearby Asian States by China. Their huge claim over the SCS is outrageous. Now they say they are friendly with the Phillipines, but only because Phillipines has virtually given up all its claims.
India has to play its role as a bulwark against the expansionism of CHina, without raising a jingoistic chant.
Later, if it comes down to serious border talks with China,India could adopt a well thought out give and take policy.

India does not gain anything by increasing the border tensions.Issue should be amicably resolved.China is also not a terror state and no Indian soldier has been shot at by the Chinese in the recent past.

Lack of exchange of fire does not indicate enemy's intentions. China may not be sending-in terrorists but it's often created border stand-offs are not too kind in nature either.
