Is the situation analogous to the era of HITLER and CHAMBERLAIN! At that time Hitler was bent upon war (attacking other countries) while Chamberlain kept on dithering and offering olive branches to Hitler. Being a small country, US is meddling, while advising India and China to settle amicably. China, a country which has border disputes with all its neighbours, wants to test the biggest of them all, leaving Russia. Time to threaten them with consequences of Nuclear weapons if it comes to the head, in no uncertain terms.
No one learned from Hitler's mindset & results ? It's a surprising world.... War is not a game, it's a tragic behaviour of very few mad men.... Nowadays every one is in a 'stand-off'.... Is any one sitting down & behaving calm ?
Not resolving this threat will only cause it to grow to a point wherein with each passing year miltary option will involve even greater risks. See what has happened in past 10 years and judge what capability they could possess in the next 10 years. Some years back who would have thought that China would have built miltary base on artificial islands. It would have all been dismissed at that time by saying that it is not possible and if something like this was to eventually happen we will break it down. There was a time when China listened to Japan. Then came a time wherein Japanese said, atleast when USA is on board the Chinese do listen. Today we are pretty near those times when China will not listen even to USA. If not halted, it will mean disaster.
