Misleading Heading.
by prasad dasharath on Jul 24, 2017 09:17 PM

I congratulate the organisers of this program for their choice of place. JNU students really need to know about the patriotism and the supreme sacrifice of our Gr8 soldiers. One thing which I didn\'t like abot this article is its \'fabricated headline\'. The VC of JNU specifically said in the speech that \'he wants an \'OLD Tank\' for his campus which will inspire the students of our soldiers hr8 velour and sacrifice!\', but look at the yellow eyed & leftist journalism of rediff staff, they purposefully deleted the word \'OLD\' and made the headline looklike the VC of JNU wants to threaten the students by displaying a military tank in the campus. Shame on this journalism. Prestitutes is the right word to describe this attitude!
I hope the moderator won\'t delete my comment also!

May please consider...

May please consider installing few live grenades in front of Calcutta University, Jadavpur University, Hyderabad University. With that few LMGs may kindly be provided. These Universities are very active universities & its only because of their 'activities' foreign elements are not attacking India. Out of fear...

RSS is patriotic organisation, it backed Indian forces all crucial moments, during 1947 war with papistan , RSS is the one which made IAF to land in Srinagar. No need to remind such things to RSS, It will be there in the blood of every Swayam sevak.

Do you know who was instrumental in the liberation of Daman and Diu? And whom Nehru invited to participate in the Republic Day parade in 1963?

them at the same time about how the army has so often abused the provisions of the AFSPA (especially in the north east), they can also install a mini statue of liberty being trampled by a theiving and lecherous army general in full uniform !

Tank on JNU campus

Great idea to have a tank in the campus. It can on occasion be used to shell any belligerent students , as Khrushchev and Stalin used to do in the old days. Why not replay Budapest 1956 in New Delhi ? G D Bakshi can relive his old Army days since he sees student interaction as nothing less than a war.And the Parivar can see their agenda fulfilled.

A Tank in JNU campus!
by JONES MATHEW on Jul 24, 2017 12:49 PM

WoW! Seriously? Sri Jagdish Kumar has taken psuedo- nationalism to another level. It is also a sly way of threatening free speech (although there should be boundaries for everything). So what is Sri Jagdish as VC of an Internationally recognized University actually saying? Simply this: shut up or we'll blow you off the face of this earth. "Respect for army"is just another facade. Nobody needs a tank in their backyard to remind them of the army's sacrifice. JNU, Hyderabad Univ, Jadavpur University -all these institutions have been anti-establishment. Therefore they need a "tank in the campus". How medieval. Of course, let's not forget that after his tenure there might be a party ticket that is being aimed for. So in the end there could be the simplest of all reasons for such a backward looking statement: selfish self-interest.

not bad idea

Air force schools and army public schools in India Mostly have Aeroplane and tank respectively in their schools.
But it will impress JNU's foreign oriented hard core Communists and their teachers.
However it will inspire the new students and keep away form the poisonous elements in the Campus, who irritates with any Nationalistic attitude and activity.
Wishing good luck to VC for his efforts to cure the sick minds.
