In my opinion the candidate elected by public referendum only deserves to be the President of India.Moreover constitution must be suitably amended so that President can play a bigger role in decision making and development of the country & make use of his immense knowledge and wisdom..
There was an unwritten agreement or you can call it understanding between North Indian politicians and SouthIndian politicians that when the premiership goes to the NorthIndian the presidentship should be from SouthIndia. It was a period of gentlemanliness during the 50's and 60's. Now it has become cutthroats politics and selfishness among the politicans

Write something to reduce the prices of essential commodities. All other writings are nonsense. You dont deserve anything to eat unless you toil in farm sector.
Mr Shekhar Gupta has declared that in his opinion Mr Ramnath Kovind may not be appropriate for the post of President. By implication, he says Meira Kumar is. Clearly, New Delhi prefers someone from their own citadel so that they can continue to exercise influence and curry favors. In what way is Meira Kumar more appropriate has been left unsaid. And let me remind this worthy gentleman that it was Ms Indira Gandhi who started this habit, proposing the name of V V Giri ... India's FIRST distinguished rubber stamp president. Some real worthies too have decorated this position ... otherwise, the choice especially by Congress has been abysmal. And Shekar Gupta kept a studious silence with the exception of the Pratibha Singh Patil episode ... reason being an outsider other than a Delhiite.

Leave all these nonsense. Write something to reduce the prices of essential commodities. Help farm sector. Until then dont eat food that you got from farmers. You are distracted by the govt policies from thinking on agri sector. Beware: BJP is allowing WallMart and so GST implemented for their purpose.
