1. National Anthem was written to extol King George V of Britain in 1911. You can sense it if you know how to read between the lines. 2. It is in Bengali, not in Hindi or some other language. Most people cannot undestand it. 3. Some areas are underrepresented in the Anthem. For example, whole of South India is referred as Dravida. Next Yamuna and Ganga are mentioned, Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri are ignored.
We need a new National Anthem that can be translated into regional languages and also that avoids certian controversial specifics.
any one noticed this ? for the first time -he is the first president from UP .. the ceremonial post is usually meant for people outside UP because PM will be mostly from UP ... This time both are from UP .. which is a new trend tried by the PM , welcome ..
Hindi is a farzi-urdu-urdun lineage lnaguage;Internet articles say that they are one and the same language written by one section of people in Devnagri and by another section in Nastaliq. In the constituent assembly the voting is said to have been even for English and Hindi and the then Prez. is said to have cast his vote in favour of language in which the constitution can not be written and neither is it in.That was a singular disservice to India's unity to have language imperialism of the language which is the official language of some other country R.Ponnambalam

Non sense. Hindi is an Indian Language only. It was evolved from Khariboli dialect which was spoken around western part of UP and surrounding areas of Delhi. During occupation from Mughal rulers and other sultans so many words were mixed with Hindi. There are two kinds of Hindi spoken . One with mix up of other language words and other is pure hindi. Pure Hindi words are Pusthak=books, Kitab=urdu word. Both denotes books. Like wise so many words pure hindi is there. Dont be mesmerised with Dravidian Language Politcs. In Tamil so many sanskrit words are found. No language is free from mix up.All Indian languages contain Persian, Arabic words. Since it was a working langage for Mugals and sultans, it mixed up with all Indian Languages. For example Munsif court (Tamil Nadu) . It is a persian word.

Fakruddin Ali Ahmed encouraged illegal migration of East Pakistan/Bangladesh Muslims to build a vote bank for himself. As a result Assam has gone up in flames. The fire has not abated so far. Ahmed's role in the proclamation of Emergency is too well known. Prathibha Patil is a mediocre politician who converted Rashtrapati Bhavan into a rest and recreation resort for her innumerable relatives. She also illegally diverted the gifts she received into her personal museum in Pune. Ahmed and Patil are both bad, Ahmed more than Patil.

President house status started deteriorating from V V Giri time steadied at Venkataraghavan time. then recovered during Abdul kalam time.then gone back to dogs again picked up some what during Pranab Mukerjee time. Zail singh was also bad. He has acknowledged that if Indira Gandhi ask him to sweep floor of Rashtrapathi Bhawan He would do that. So not just Ahmed & patil zail singh was also worse of the lot.
