It is shameful that gradates do not know about North Eastern states. If the media, especially news channel show informative programs about these states it would be great. I have not seen any Hindi movie wherein any character in Ngbhoomi or Meghalay or Mizoram is included.(only exception Danny & Mary Kom). The Mahabharat mentions Nagbhoomi & Manipur as the princess Ulupi & Chitrangada were married to Arjun. I think we must spend some time in knowing our people & country rather than playing on Mobile hones or what apps. The next VP from NE. will be highly welcomed

rightly said. We should respect our NE people as they are part of our country. Their contribution to the growth of the country is as same as any other state in india. Yes, media should cover more and provide us with more information so that people can understand about the NE states.
This article talks about the ignorance of north indians rather than anything else. This has always been apparent. They have been mostly low iq ignorant people with a huge inferiority complex that has really held back the rest of india by sucking out all the resources to themselves.
i really appreciate your work in realising to the rest of India that they are a big nut when coming to questions asked on.north east,but for a clarification which you might not like i too dont count sikkim and for that matter gorkhaland hill council as part of north east .being a part of the NEC council dont give you the identity of being from north east india.we "seven sisters" dont share any cultural,lingual practice with sikkim and GHC.
Most welcome, had Sangma been alive, he would have been one. Regarding the ignorance of some of the younger generation on North-East, the curriculum has to be suitably chaned. Regarding whether Nagaland is part of india, I tell you a joke: some one asked the children in their native language ( Pita and Maata)to name their father and mother for which the children feigned ignorance where as when they were asked 'dady' and 'Mummy's names, they promptly answered. Such is our aping of westren habits.
sad & Unfortunate to know about it it's shows how is ours general knowledge about my own country geographical awareness. To all my north east fellow brothers and sisters do not hurt yourselves we all Indians peoples knows about you and your presence with us and hole heatedly remain with you forever.
