Yes. It is accepted by millions and crores of people across the world. Since my childhood I like her, praise her courageous acts against Pakistan & China, her sympathy at poor, her 20 point program, her devotion to reduce population by controlling birth rate, her thoughts in analyzing the root causes of poverty, etc. made her really a superb woman, a super woman, finally A SUPREMO for ever. INDIA MEANS INDIRA and INDIRA MEANS INDIA.

Had she been for some more years, India would have been another North Korea. Under her leadership India was a real 3rd world country.

Both the ladies were strong leaders politically. But Indira started the trend of power politics in India and had an unending hunger for power. The kind which power hungry politicians are mad after nowadays. We hardly saw any economic progress during her time. India was known for the "begging bowl" image in her times. This particular writer has simply gone overboard. Please don't get carried away. Her son was a better guy than her in that he genuinely initiated some loosening of the economy and understood India's problems better. Even though he was politically naive.
