Abnormal Reactions !
by Sunil Dabadghao on Jan 22, 2017 05:57 PM

This is not a good sign. Whatever be Trump's faults, he is a democratically elected president and verdict of an election must be respected. What business the people from Sweden, Irelan etc have to protest against the democratically elected US president? Now taking cue from these events, the frustrated Indian Leftist liberals from JNU and Universities of Hyderabad and Jadavpur(who think they are the only intellectuals in India) will soon start similar demonstrations against our PM. These moves should be nipped in the bud.

End of Democracy?
by sujit chitale on Jan 22, 2017 03:50 PM

In democracy it is not possible for any ruling party or person to have 100% acceptance from populace i.e. some will support and some will oppose the ruling party at any time...

Basic premise of democracy is that elected govt takes care of people who voted and also those who did not vote for them irrespective of any preferences... it is also important that those who voted and those who did not accept the govt of ruling party and move on...

American people seem to have forgotten this and coming out on the road to state foolish things like Trump is not their president etc. Whatever may be his reality it is also a reality that he is the elected president of US.

US citizens should remember that the very instrument of governance they have adopted results into such scenario and that they need to accept it or change the instrument of governance. This is not likely to happen without US getting divided into multiple countries and that will not be bloodless...

So if you are not going to go down the wire lets move on...
