Inteference in other's rights of culture in practice for centuar
by on Jan 23, 2017 08:39 AM

It is a centuary old traditional cultural affair;NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO INTERFERE IN SOME OTHERS TRADITIONAL CULTURAL CENTURIES LONG IN PRACTICE&FORCE AND ENJOING RIGHTS. The Central Govt. 's acts in katchathivu, in sri lankan' Tamil interests ,in allotting the least number of Public Industies , all have been to the detriment of Tamil Interests Everything can be viewed in different perspective. Beef eating is allowed as though killing for beef is not cruel treatment to animals. The NGO's do not submit returns and account for their money and the Govt. sits idle and that is not cruel to the poor people to whom that money could have been used Multi million rupees are remaining as unrecovered loans and that is not cruel to the poor and their development. Recently one asked a court since when the apex court has become a reformist?

There needs to be a board constituted for jallikattu and they should look into safety concerns of the game and play it safer. In any sport there is risk and deaths/ injuries but then in other sports there is some board which take care of these aspects of the game similarly jallikattu also requires some board like that
First of all govt should recognize it as sports and then only rest can happen

I feel ashamed as a tamilian today. Periyar would have condemned this barbaric and archaic mindless tradition called jallikattu. We seem callous enough to let people die only to satiate our Tamil ego.

Tamilians have become trend setters influencing the Kannadigas to demand legalising Kambala and Assamese asking for buffalo fights. People of Andhra Pradesh have cocked a snook at the Supreme Court with cock fights that had seen betting to the tune of Rs.5 billion.

Komaaaaali Modi
by piri on Jan 22, 2017 11:28 PM  | Hide replies

had a pining hope, that his komaaaali party can use at least this issue, be seen as the one facilitating the conduct of Jallikkattu in TN, and somehow boost its miserable vote share of 2.5 % there !!

In the wake of the unrelenting, no nonsense protests by the students and others in TN, that pining hope too is going in vain !
