They are on the rise but authorities try to blame them on naxals or other groups. If a train can pass on the line at 1006 pm and a patrol team checked the tracks at 1040 pm, how can a train passing at 11.15 pm get derailed causing the deaths and injuries to so many people travelling in that train. It has been reported that is a shortage of over 4000 men in a total requirement of 21000 totally. The authorities every time shed crocodile tears and do nothing in augmenting the work force required.

originally track maintenance is on private contractors. they are doing thook palish. the class I officers are eating railways like any thing. deemak haain yeh. no money for security and safety works. where money goes? only Engg and Material management groups taking advantage. the small fishes are getting charge sheets and punishments. that too upper castes only. the SC/ST/OBc groups are not working fellows. they dont know the work. after 2016 retirements in huge done and no vacancies are filled up. very pathetic conditions are prevailing in railways. even one day it will shut down. there is no suspense.

i strongly suspect ISI and naxal nexus in the last few rail accidents. these accidents are most sad and the loss of life of fellow Indians most tragic and unfortunate. in stead of trying to blame govt for everything, need for introspection as well by us (public)and railway staff and personnel. we ,the public ,want the best of safety and facilities. The Indian railway staff is one of the most well paying organisation of the world. But what about the revenue???? we are not filling to pay direct taxes,increased rail fare???? Only 4%of indians pay income tax!real shame that so few have to carry the load of 95-96%remaining population. how to pay for the salary of security staff for 24 hours vigil of tracks and the train??? we as a public should also be ready to pay for increased costs so that such unfortunate incidents due to poor equipment/ security /sabotage can be avoided

Clearly, such huge, fatal rail accidents with such high frequency and a constant media blitzkrieg cannot go side by side. The govt. and all its spokespersons, admittedly, have shrews, clever defence skills. But, we truly need freedom from these terrible life hazards and absolute confidence that we shall reach our destination safely by train without accident or death. The compensation figures seem to be rising with each accident, but human life is far more precious than those cash compensations. It would help if the continuous brain washing including some mann ki baat etc. are suspended for some time.
