IT IS THE INEFFICIENCY OF THIS GOVERNMENT DUE TO WHICH EVERY NOW AND THEN THESE ACCIDENTS ARE HAPPENING. THIS GAIERNMENT ONLY KNOWS HOW TO INCREASE FARES AND NO IMPROVEMENTS IN SAFETY. AND THEY WANT BULLET TRAIN. HOW SAD. IT IS HIGH TIME RAILWAY MINSTER RESIGNED.
Prabhu immediately double fare of 5 years kids when sworn in as rail minister, double platform ticket, triple cancellation charge from rs 20 to 120.increasing fare every month.on special train fare are double. please resign graceful

Railway has gone from Bad to worst due casual approach of of all the deptof railway. Useless Dept. Will pass blame on ISI and set up enquiry commission so that all is forgotten. Nobody knows the outcome of Previous committes
This route is not the busiest and not the worst. Such high casuality is really distrubing. The accident happened due to either laxity from the maintenance crew or may be the Maoist Link...My heart goes with the bereaved families.

There is nothing much a single minister or a group of ministers can do, even if they wish in earnest and do their best.
The Railways simply requires a big jump in investments, for replacement of old and corroded tracks, old coaches (which as per numerous audit committees reports, often have unsafe undercarriages), for better signalling equipment, for laying more tracks, etc.
And such investments have to be accompanied by a sharp reduction in the huge corruption that has always engulfed the railways.
The demand for railway services is just too overwhelming from the huge population.
Earlier governments did badly enough with populist pricing of services, grossly inefficient administration and by not doing the slightest against entrenched corruption.
But this govt is adding to the littany of such virtually insurmountable problems by wasting scarce resources on diversionary tactics such as the launching of bullet trains and a steep increase in expenditure for publicity campaigns !

I feel the current issues needs to be solved completely before bullet trains. If it can happen in parallel good work -:)

Bring back the railway ministry and rail budget. no tinkering with existing set up. do not burden the Gen Mgrs with budget etc; they mustbe for operations only.
Can someone wake modi ji and tell him that India needs to improve basic infrastructure... Not bullet trains... Wasting taxpayer money on bullet train will not reduce accidents like this... but spending that money will help people

Basic infrastructure in this country is always a problem not only this but many. Look at city roads or any facilities they are lacking in all aspects. But I guess even if someone does that electorate is not bothered about it. So no politicians care about it.

keep blaming ISI for your own failure... had govt invested the money on betterment of existing infrastructure rather than Bullet trains.. these many indians wont have died....
Modi ji poor policies are killing more people than isi or dawood

There is every chance of paki hands in this so that angle cannot be ignored for sure but yea basic infrastructure in this country has always been an issue which needs to be tackled

Then when price rises like hell you can blame govt for privatization right? Privatization is not the answer for everything. Govt needs to improve facilities
This derailment is surely due to intentional sabotage for showing inefficiency of Railway department. This is not expected in lieu of human life. Very very shocked for this accident. May God recover all the injured passengers......
