An "alliance" to keep the 20% muoslim votes intact is non-news, meaning "secular", whereas any attempt to keep even some 50% hindous will be labeled as communal.

If looters like Congress and SP can become partner in crime, you need to demonstrate desperation. Ok with such tag.

Can Akhilesh faction make up the loss with the help of Congress.
by aam admi on Jan 17, 2017 05:30 PM  | Hide replies

by breaking his own party still Mulayam has good following in masses , he is the one who was running the show since its inception .Akhilesh with out Mulayam , may not succeed to win the masses.
Lost Congress can not compensate the absence of Mulayam, further Congress is not well-wisher of Akhilesh. pigmy Cong. is trying to ride SP to cross the Political river in UP. Otherwise drowning is sure for Congress.

If BJP win UP and Uttrakhand then now worries even if they lose Punjab and Goa.. I am sure you are Kejri fan..but aks question from yourself if Kejri not contesting in UP polls then why he is campaining in UP and that only against BJP.. He entered politics to end corruption ..so we can consider that according to kejri both Mayawati and Mulayam are the most honest politician ?

by rajiv verma on Jan 17, 2017 05:20 PM

sir
people are not fools, second time in a row this trick will not work, also whole nation saw oppposition unity for Corruption in parliament rather than debating on any issue running away giving all kind of nonsense, hoping for BJP win since this will lead to majority in rajya sabha in which unnecessary hurdles crested by oppositions parties, and this policy of uniting aginst one person just to stop him not on any concrete ground ,rather than on false allegations which even Supreme Court does not value, set would became last nail in congress coffin, in UP alliance will not work, simply because mayawati is also major player in uttar pradesh, until and unless maya will also joins this alliance there is no hope for this allliance to succeded. also it put serious ???? mark on capability of mr Gandhi as a vicepresident of national party

SP and Congress Poltical Master stroke
by ajay ghosh on Jan 17, 2017 05:18 PM  | Hide replies

Both are seasoned Political parties , by creating the feud scenario they kept the BJP in confusion with only less than 35 days to go for election they come up with alliance to hoodwink the BJP and Bjp was trying to fish in troubled waters as both know demonetization BJPs grave governance blunder . Mulayam has now sidelined every one and given his son Akilesh the political legacy without which the SP would have been in mess in the event of his sudden natural demise .The Game begins and now bjp has dug its political grave

This was a drama scripted, directed and staged by Mulayam singh only to side line his brother peacefully. Campaign by BJP has started long back. This father and son drama - ppl have not liked it. Though Akilesh has got decent face. You can say they are neck to neck.

Congress alliance with Akhilesh
by Rajagopalan on Jan 17, 2017 05:17 PM  | Hide replies

This was expected. the drama between father and son was on this issue only.. Congress will ally with do any dirty politics to assume power.. They can not play main level politics now in UP as they do not have base. They need to ally with BSP or SP> In either case the verdict may not favor congress.. UP will have to face election twice in 2017..

"UP will have to face election twice in 2017"--good analysis. but in case of a hung verdict, all & sundry will get together in the name of secular alliance.
