The decision that a soldier may lodge grievances to its Chief without knowledge of his controlling officer is very welcome. This is the best, effective and lawful. This to be extended to all Government organisations because in these organisations protocols and superiority complex damaging morality of all employees.
General Rawat acknowledges that Lance Nayak Yagya Pratap had used formal channels including writing to PM, President too but instead of redressal he got harassment. Is this the excellent system Gen.Rawat is boasting about? Obviously it didn't work earlier and the Officers instead of investigating, harassed the hapless soldier and must have sent a wrong signal to others too. On New Year Day when PM Narendra Modi was doling out food to Jawans celebrating New Year with them, surely the quality of food must have been excellent, as he himself would also have shared meal with them.
Very clear approach of COAS without mincing any word!.We got a tough and clear to the thoughts general after a long time. I am sure this will not only strengthen better discipline in army but will also pose a tough face to enemy. For sure it appears that he will not succumb to government pressure. Excellent!!!
If it is indisciplibe than Army Cheif must supply good food to Jawan. Good food is his right while serving the nation. Mere words of mouth will not work in these tech days. R we idiot to belive his words?
