Opposition parties meet CEC; seek deferring of budget till polls end

..almost promptly prior to the elections in five states....

is naturally unpalatable to the opposition.

It may not auger well with the CEC either.

It will be interesting how the CEC looks at the issue affecting the largest democracy of this planet Earth, with a relatively clean record.

EC will certainly think on the demand of opposition to postpone the budget. The decision of EC will be in accordance with its tradition..
Govt need not insist on any date..
