Its a fantastic country , beautiful culture etc. Many expats are dying to work there, I got an opportunity to work there from 1996-2001 with a multinational company. Lets hope for the best..

What a beautiful article by Ms. Monica Sindhwani. She has such beautiful memories of the people and the place where she spent her childhood and teen. She has written from her heart. I wish every migrant Indian sees the beauty of the people and place they stay and the kindness bestowed by the host country.

the same peaceful , beautiful burmese people are kicking out the the nedes, the Bangladeshi muslims aka rohingiyas. so you can guess what kind pigshits they are. during military junta rule, many indian left Burma, but they have no rancour against Burmese. all burma returned bengalees whom I met in Bengal, echo the same sentiment the author expresses.

Bengali in Myanmar has visible n significant contribution in the country, ofcourse now they are handful, among hindus one can find Tamils, Marwaris are going back and doing business, many Biharis and Nepalis are visible, While I was there I couldn't much see any Punjabi, Gujarati and Sardar,Now the country is progressing quite fast, democracy has arrived. Go and visit now. U will fall in loved.

Oh God. One more cribbing Tamil here. What is so misleading or cheap in this column. If you have some information feel free to share it. Dont poison this column due to your ego and inferiority complex. The author is sharing her story and not history. Please get out of the clutches of victim stories being spread by Dravidian parties
