Recently a news paper item says buying gold beyond Rs.2 lakhs will face a tax of 1 percent. If so what about KCR his gold purchase should also follow the same rule. When did he place order for the gold and how did he pay for it. Were old Rs.1000 and 500 notes used for the same. IT department should look into this.
