When a bad omen is there such things happen
by JA on Feb 20, 2017 05:10 AM  | Hide replies

These things can happen in India only that is why we have a constitution and so many laws but people still find ways to use the law to benefit and it will send a message that anyone who can take away MLA to secret places can easily form a government.

It is a bad omen and wish of Gods that these people should suffer.

Let Sasikala rule from Jail she has been given a special TV also and talks with her Ministers also.
We can have all the convicts also get TV and special food with her so Jail can become a premium house and maybe they can become Ministers also in her government soon.

Maybe it is Gods wish and there may bea curse on Tamils. Anybody will loot such states where Governor himself is giving free hand. Convicts with Sasikala can help her too and become her friends that way she can make all of them her colleagues also to be used later.

DMK go on hunger strike
by canath on Feb 19, 2017 07:24 PM  | Hide replies

DMK spoiling their chances, due to this urgency to sit in power. Their behavior in the assembly was very much against the people's wish. If they behave decently and wait for the opportunity, it may be good for them.

SC VERDICT FEEL GOOD FACTOR UNDONE BY PART TIME TN GOV
by damodaran mohan on Feb 19, 2017 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

So the part time TN Gov. after all that song-n- dance dilly-dallying for 2 weeks all that he manages is to install a convicted Sasikala's proxy govt.! Too bad he could not anticipate and plan 'checks' to avoid the assembly bedlam and the farce enacted in the name of trust vote! Knowing fully well about the democratic credentials of our political class --of many such past precedence's of MLAs being herded like sheeps and assembly chaos. Mr Vidyasagar Rao could have certainly done better and it certainly doesn't add to the stature of the constitutional post. It is a pity that the TN Gov. has undone all the feel good factor for people of TN post the SC verdict with this type of demeaning low in TN politics! This is not to absolve Stalin &co. or the OPS camp of all the shameful events during the trust vote (or is it mistrust vote ?) but only that end result has been to give a long handle to the convicted lady led ‘Mannaregudi Mafia’ the ‘remote control’ to run the TN govt. Is there any doubt that the ensuing contradictions and factional fights that will result by itself is going to make the govt. unstable pulling it down in the next couple of months leading to forced fresh election. If only the Gov had waited for the 15 days time he had given initially and not convened the House quickly a clearer picture of the AIADMK MLAs one way or the other would have emerged for a more stable set up minus the ‘mafia control’

(contd.)..or a situation for Presidents rule would have emerged. That would have been any day better than the present unstable and very unpopular arrangement. Things are looking very bleak for TN indeed. The Centre can appoint a full time Gov. at-least to start with.

Secret ballot may have some disadvantages but in this situation when mla are held as hostages .that would have been a better one anyway these mla are going to face hostile receiption from the public when they ret to constituency

they will not face hostile people in their constituency. The so called hostility are the creations of DMK or DMK party man only. That will bafire to DMK,Please wait and see.People are not bothered about what happens. They are happy that genuine Amma's rule is restored. After all Panni/s regime is nothing but DMK rule which only people rejected. Now people are really happy. The so called hostility are creations of DMK and DMKmen.

by Raghavendra Rao on Feb 19, 2017 12:55 PM

Proststing and dharna are being held regularly by opposition parties in all states,by violating rules. There is nothing new to it,so thfiling FIR and arresting the leaders is a common affair in our country. When Lallo prasad who is involved in 1500 crores fodder scam is on peramnent bail and he is enjoying free life and also commanding his voice in politics. When such is the case we need not give much importance to such political stunts.

Decision making of the Speaker
by Paul Premkumar on Feb 19, 2017 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

The Speaker should not take his own decision. He can consider the requests of other members. What is wrong if there is secret voting ? If there is secret voting the members will vote as per their conscience. Then why are you conducting secret voting for general election ? Why should election propaganda be stopped 2 days prior to election ? Pl treat people equal to MLAs.

There is no precedent for secret voting of confidence voting in TH Assembly. When all parties applied whip, where is the question of secret voting. MLAs are attached to parties on whose symbol, they were elected. General elections are conducted as per electoral laws.Paul Prem is good, Clearly he does not know it, Now, he may be clear.
