The crooks would have gained credibility had they allowed the opposition to vote but they did not take the risk which only crooks do no risk only power.
Announcing pro poor policies to justify hijacking of power has become order of the day.
The poor people have become body guards for crooks and crimes as in movies we always see the poor supporting crooks and criminals where police fear to go and check.
Now the system has become to grab power at any cost then release good schemes for the public and end Government rule and show we are saviors of the poor.
Modi and Trump follow same system and pass their own laws. At least in the USA there is protection and Trump not able to implement wrong decisions but in India Modi was able to Hijack parliament not allow opposition to speak and pass on the blames to the opposition even when they did nothing. Even Supreme court did not act in note ban but in USA they were quick to act against wrong decisions.
Here also EPS does same in Tamilnadu and announces schemes for poor like Modi and manages to hold on to power and win sympathy like Modi tried to hold on to the poor to retain power at any cost.
Let us see what holds for the future with these new illusions. Maybe the officers feel safe under rogue administrations forcefully taking them over and ordering them to work.
the general mood is against these 122 MLAs , but DMK as opposition , has messed-up the chance , They should know after a whip is issued there is no scope for secret ballot (as defectors cannot be identified, which will defeat the purpose of anti-defection bill) . Even a close 122-108 defeat on floor ,would have been more honourable. Now it is left to the people only, to decide the future..
In TN, this culture THEATRICS was first happened during 1989 - by Late Madam J.Jayalalitha - throwing the budget on then CM, Mr Karunanithi and others intervened. But claimed that prevention by other DMK MLAs as if she was manhandled by fellow DMK MLAs and it is being talked even now. This time Mr Stalin tried to enact the same drama. Based on the Sasikala group owned TV (as other medias are not permitted) there was no chance for Stalin's shirt torn - as he was evicted only by Assembly Marshalls. None of the AIADMK MLAs were involved in this phandemonium and they were not instrumental - as it was taken care of by their Speaker. AIADMK men were silent as they want to win somehow, the vote of confidence otherwise this might have lead to dissolution of the Assembly.
Mr Stalin would not gain anything due to this Theatrics - however people's anger agst Sasikala dominant group would gain any sympathy or support. For AIADMK, only motive is just to retain the power for another 4 years.
