Yes what Sudha Murthy has said is 100 percent correct we lost ethics in the name of ethics we force our ideas in the name of democracy we have mobocracy where merit is required we push caste system we have forgotten old values for get Ramayana Mahabharata we are forgotten Sanskrit which was the binding language with rich heritage
With all ills of caste system they were together and happy - although the rich landlords exploited . All foreigners who had rules in this nation were able to do so because some one in the time - has aided them ,other wise story of history would be different . Worst part was the politicians who have ruined the unity of the nation with caste ,community , hating merit and prolonging and increasing reservation - a system which failed miserably , not only failed and brought down the total standards.Today it s a fashion to criticise every thing and never try and find the logic for any thing - go by face value and superficial rituals . Right friend - normally you assuming you are from Tamil Nadu carry your father's name in your full name .Yes! why not mothers name ? With out being harsh and insulting heard of Saying - where maternity is certain .....

Times are changing in one our NGO Meeting it was announced that mrs so and so will now render a song - well the lady , my wife said first " Why call Mrs.... I am so and so and have my identity and my name is ........ both of us are over 60 and Idid not feel bad but well appreciated her view .My children daughter and DIL carry their sir name even after marriage - things are changing .There is some thing like Tradition and why and how they came we can not say - Because we do not have knowledge of those time nor we cared to read scriptures to get the meaning
I come across many debates on gender equality, but very few can be with such dignity and grace like Sudha Murthy, who focuses on the essence of equity.. She is also a great role model for a woman who can handle professional, societal and homefront with such grace and competence. Wow...
Mrs.sudha narayana murty is really a great inspiration to many women for her around capabilities.Fully agree male society may flatter women in meetings using big superlatives,but inside/behind talk/feel the other way.Otherwise why the politicians are not allowing the 33% quota for women in parliament/state assemblies to pass when women's percentage is nearly 50% total population.This discrimination not only in India but even in foreign advanced countries too,otherwise could anybody expect Mrs.Hillary Clintons defeat against that too bragging,intolerant Trump.
you can role model and torch bearer, you can convince your company like Infy to make equal profits among its employee and investors. If not, it does not matter what u say on equality. note - always remember likes of infy are built on modern day slavery.
