PM is right
by nilanjan roy on Feb 09, 2017 05:57 PM

Mr. MMS was wearing full size Condome not rain coat. Thats the reason he can not see anything & can not speak either.
He knew virous of corruption surrounding him but he choose to protect himself rather than protecting country.

He is a real demagogue, mixing issues and using selective references in specious, self righteous way . This govt. does not believe in discussions. It is only criticising others and not allowing any arguments over its policies and approaches. Its plain and simple bullying.Parliamentary system has been thoroughly destroyed by these bunch of narcissist, megalomaniacs.

You are probably an ardent Congressman looking at yourself in the mirror. Modi gave a dressing-down to the entire Opposition right and proper, leaving them red-faced and practically in tears

Bring political reforms, where qualification, age, police and character verification and fitness etc., is to be first brought in the political system besides barring divisive language speaking politicians at least for Centre.

NM and MMS
by Geetha RM on Feb 09, 2017 10:48 AM

The issue is not one of words used. If MMS is guilty he should be prosecuted and sent to jail. BJP knows it cannot do this. The attack on integrity of MMS should attract a defamation case against PM.

Congress is a one way street - Reply to Pres. Speech by PM
by NG Nileshwar on Feb 09, 2017 07:23 AM  | Hide replies

The PM should be knowing that Congress is a one way street. The Congress has the liberty to use language of their choice but others are bound by the Dictionary. Their rule of 55 years has led to this .Is PM not aware of it?
Mr Modi, keep it up. Dictionary is not the monopoly of the Congress. If Congress feels that language should be parliamentary, it should learn at least now that there is now someone to give a retort.
And how could a person of experience of 35 years be described after he deliberately ignored the happenings around? He forgot the country due to "political compulsions".

The way they abuse PM in public is very civilized but when PM does the same it is uncivilized. Who defines civilized and all I am not sure -:) Congress should understand as you sow so you reap

Loot began Nov 10th
by Bharat Kumar on Feb 09, 2017 12:02 AM

On an unprecedented scale, millions were lined up depositing money into Jan Dhan accounts. The stories got censored or silenced since then.

Another route was to donate to political parties, who could deposit any amount. If that isn't loot by politicians, what else was it? !

So there organized loot and plunder. Dr Singh, there are many with you, you shouldn't get bullied. What if we can't shout, we can make the facts hurt. People shoot off their mouth when caught !

Demonetization is organized loot, theft
by Bharat Kumar on Feb 08, 2017 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

Truth hurts and it shows!

Dr Singh called demonetization an organized loot, another economist Steve Hanke called it theft of public money !

The fact is, so much money wasn't supposed to come back, but the banks got flooded with money thanks to colluding bank officials.

Arvinda Panagariya doesn't say why he is blaming the banking officials ! Are they guilty of posting more deposits than collected? Has someone reconciled the deposits with collections by counting the notes. Everyone knows something was going wrong, so they everything to stem the tide of notes, pulling back the dates, amounts, withdrawal limits..

Personally, as a salaried and middle class individual, with a certificate of appreciation for paying taxes, I didn't feel the pinch, except watching the misery. I feel particularly bad for those who sweated it out in the queues and even more for those who lost their livelihood.

The damage has been done, the coming generation will suffer the consequences of low or stagnant growth worsened with global recession.

Even Manmohan Singh can do nothing - there is nothing to devalue, no sector to attract FDI. We need grass root level rejuvenation.
