When Govts. And Embassies fail to redress grievances of its citizens and ignore to rescue them God sends good samaritans too. Its nice to hear Mr Merchant doesnt need help of Embassies. Its disheartening to not Indian Embassy staff feel they are Royal Members and forget their primary duty to help a citizen abroad.
sir, i am an Indian spend in Oman.somebody trapped me and i lost 4.5 years.i approached embassy,Indian social cultural,NORKA minister of pravassi,kerala CM,HM(Both ldf and udf 2010 to 2014)The main culprit was an indian and they supported him,i met an Omani advocate mr.M.A.Taqi,who helped me to overcome from the problem without asking his fees.i got justice from primary,high court and appeal court in 2014 .Now i am india after a heart surgery.If he is not helped me our Indian authority may help my dead body through air India with 350 kg per kg.There are dirty politics from party in embassy and political influence are directing them impanel advocate are sponsored by them to implement their interest.

Please write to MEA with full facts, figures and name and address of the persons who could not help you in your distress in Oman and then see the difference and explain to others
