First of all to stop the freebies doled out to voters and money power as is evident and making the Tamilians come out of non working mode to a hard and honest hardworking class.

It cannot be denied that the central cabinet is by and large uncorrupt...

Corruption, mismanagement, misrule and furnishing false/real data could be known when successor takes over.
Tamilnadu politics broadly fall in two brackets. Hate politics ( like Annadurai , Periyaar type Anti-Brahmin politics, or hate Hindi politics etc). Then there is manufactured stories, oppression cinema and pathos ( filmi type).
second category is Dramaabaazi ( Tamil Nadu has more per capita filmi people in politics than the rest of the world). It is like , if you want to enter political fray in T'nadu , get into movies first.
But we are not in 1990s any more. Due to communication revolution, Tamilnadu people have exposure to outside world and they are now willing to look at how outside world works.
Dinakaran's win is a sample of things to come. Gone are the days when a filmi guy comes on stage and enacts stuff from his movies and gives away color TV sets to get votes. Voters are thinking ( or may be they vote for him watching KABAALI DA).

TN politics works on money simple! Do you know how much money ec catches in elections time in TN and of course some are not caught. Dinakarans win was just an example of that-:) why do I know? I have stayed in Madras for 6 years and seen it first hand myself...hate politics is secondary which is now there in central elections also

he was agaianst jaya but later somersaulted to support her unconditionally....at the age of 70 with not so sound health and not a very hard political worker...it will be uphill task even to retain deposit in all constituencies leave alone winning .. now that cho is also not there to support him...

It will be difficult for many to come in TN as money plays the game there but someone should try and I still like people trying rather than sitting at home and typing like us -:)

He was against jaya is not a disqualification in anyway since jaya was also super corrupt in her days..in her last days she had changed probably due to.old age. In 1990s she was also super corrupt
