My first question to the writer is 'Are you hallucinating'? or is the hangover still lingering after the heydays many of the journalists like him had when they used to be invited for parties by the powers that were from the lutyen lanes? Some people loyal to some in lutyen lanes dream of resisting the changes that are happening. Anyway I appreciate him for his 'vocabulary' and his writing 'style'.

on several advisories sent out recently by various Indian American associations in the US to its members for circulation among themselves and their Indian friends reads *Avoid talking loudly in public areas in the hyndi language, either among yourselves or over the telephone* !

These advisories were issued to caution Indian Americans in the aftermath of several racial hate attacks on PIOs that occurred after Trump became President. These advisories dont mention any other Indian language, though large segments of Indian Americans hail from non hyndi speaking states such as A.P, T.N and Kerala.

More than any other language group, hyndi speakers tend to speak loud in public areas unmindful of how annoying this can be to others present in their immediate vicinity. This must be a direct result of their upbringing in a battered and strife torn culture, a culture that has seen centuries or millennias of constant upheaval, tumults, assaults, pillage, plunder and raxpe ! This has made native hyndi speakers, by and large, too stuxpid to understand the niceties of civic sense and public decorum, to a degree much worse than speakers of other Indian languages.

It might be a blessing of sorts for hyndi speakers of all generations in America to have such civic sense and decorum drilled into their heads in such fashion in the U.S ! And however much Modi preens and wags his tail before Trump and labours to pretend that he is on the way to being treated specially by the US govt,

All leaders are human beings,so some similarities and differences.Compare Modi with Xi,Putin, will make interesting reading.Modi is not antimuslim.
Unifying the country is a priority agenda. We are a democratic country so different perspectives view points.Should India be like China will progress faster.

Well said. Mr.Modi's idea of India is a unified one and not divisive. No one really wants to put into proper perspective the misrule by the the earlier governments just to hold on to power by keeping the poor poor, dividing people on caste and communal lines( reservations and minority appeasement). Many of these journalists who had a royal life( and earnings too) are feeling insecure and may be, fear has started creeping into them thinking of the times to come, when they may be jobless.
