Col Purohit rotted in the jail for 6 long years as a result of dirty political game played by Congress. His career and personal life has been ruined by the Congress govt. He should file a damage suit against the Govt of India for a compensation of 10 Million Dollars.

While a Great Warrior and Saviour of our Country is recognized by Great Lawyers in tribute to his selfless Army Service, the ATS of Maharastra behaved so cruelly with him treating him as Terrorist and an ordinary Criminal arrogantly ignoring that his High Army Rank (equivalent to senior IPS)and also the fact in the circumstances under Law that he is not guilty till proved. Is it the respect to a great soldier? Can these guilty Police and IPS Officers serve at dangerous borders to save the people taking risk of their lives? Here the main betrayer is his own Army Officer Srivatsava(may be some personal grudge of promotions etc.) in the first place and the Concerned Army bosses(fraternity) who left him in lurch and disowned their colleague/ subordinate handing him to ATS bedian (while their Military Court did not find him guilty at all). They should have taken up the case to MOD for not getting him harassed and tortured by Civilian force. It is insult to Army in general and Army top bosses in particular making such a mighty Defense services inferior or subservient to Civil Services. Now at least Military or Defense services should have their own autonomy on Admin, Executive, and Legal aspects not to be under civil bureaucracy/litigations like Pakistan. Can Armymen be tortured by Civil Police there? Rather Police and even Politician is damn afraid of Army! It is surprising while the Terrorist Pakistani killer( Kasab)of Hemant karkare was treated like a VIP Guest by Police and ATS under fully spent Security with no scratch on his body for fear of APPEASEMENT Khangrass, an innocent Army Col.was tortured by our own police that once again proved Hindus r the cruelest Enemies of Hindus in India While our ex naval officer Jadhavji is getting tortured by Pakistan ISI (Army agency) on the basis of jaari dushmani !

Karkare is one of those police officer who have little brains and more muscle. These officers are sadist and enjoy brute force. They do not distinguish between good people and bad people. To them every accused is a criminal and investigation to them is forced confessions.
