First put in this nonsense then keep upgrading this . We donât manufactuer anything in this country . If we have to buy foreign hardware and processors we will loose everything and putting our battlefield strategy on imported hardware will make us vulnerable come what may .Indians can think of some better options than to put strategic information on imported hardware . US , UK , Russians and Chinese will gain an access to this information anyways . Instead learn how to block their BMS using your satellites .
Ajai is very well informed on BMS. I think he has a point regarding the era in which the generals operated and hence their displeasure with the price quoted. They do see the value but are not convinced that it might require a lot of effort. Someone from ministry needs to step in and take hold. This is a priority for our army and security of our nation. Do you really think we should reject a Battlefield Management System just because it was proposed by a Congress supporter (if he was one)?
Of course we need BMS. This will increase our battle potential.But from where you got that info, that Iraqi army were folded within 96 hrs ?Iraqi air force was out of action within few days sure. But it was the army who fought for 40 day(41 th day they surrendered as ordered).Go through the data..avoid propaganda spreaded by Americans..Ask them if the army was folded within 96 hrs,then why the bombings were continued even after month?
