Gujrat election: who must celebrate?
by smita M on Dec 20, 2017 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

An analysis which is in accordance with official line of Congress. Sorry, we need not to ignore certain facts-1. 1.2% increase in vote share of BJP and 5 lakhs vote given to NOTA. This suggest whatever disenchantment gujratis had with BJP, they are not ready to hold hand of Congress. Other wise 5 lakhs disillusioned voter would have allowed Congress an easy victory. Congress has won seats because of negative voting, not because RAGA has enthused public on ground level. I wont like to comment on Hardik barring one comment. Kanhaiya has more chances to have success in politics than Hardik, He will be down in next 1 to 2 years.

Hardik had 2yrs to get his act right & he did manage to a good extent. the fact remains that caste politics does not have a long future in a state like gujarat & the sooner people realise this, the better for them.

Wake up call.
by hayavadana rao on Dec 20, 2017 08:09 PM

BJP should be very cautious, especially in the State of Rajastan. By 2019, people of Gujarath will understand 3 mosquitoeers. However, BJP should counter act against false propaganda by the Congress and opposition parties to gain rural votes.

cry of a child who is frequently beaten by other
by aam admi on Dec 20, 2017 07:35 PM

gradually he finds solace in his imagination to liberate his anguish and pain, similar is the argument of the congress who has been beaten by BJP and whose leader Rahul is badly hauled every time in past elections.
They started believing defeat as victory.
of course it gives solace to beaten Congress and its poor leader.

Gujrat
by DIGAMBAR JOSHI on Dec 20, 2017 07:03 PM  | Hide replies

BJP lost 30 seats and Congress won same seats because of patidar, OBC and Dalit leaders. Congress has no capacity to win elections of their own. Now Congress will not surrender to any party or play secondary role. Ultimately Congress will not succeed in their plan.

MADANMOHAN-JI,
EXACTLY NOT BAD. THE OBSOLETE 'RESERVATION " POLICY WILL UNDOUBTEDLY BE USED TO BEAT THE BJP IN ALL UPCOMING ELECTIONS AND THE 2019 PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS AS WELL. THIS IS THE "WRITING ON THE WALL" FOR THE BJP GOVT.
"CONGRESS -MUKTH BHARATH" IS ONLY WISHFUL THINKING.
EVERY VIBRANT DEMOCRACY NEEDS A STRONG OPPOSITION, EVEN IF IT RESORTS TO "POLITICAL OUT-SOURCING" !!

What Rot!!!
by samcarto on Dec 20, 2017 06:34 PM

There is an old joke in my hometown. There were two women, One always used to give alms to the beggars, while the other never used to.

One day the lady who used to regularly give alms walked away without doing so. Seeing this a beggar commented, " There is always this angel who never gives us alms, what happened to this bitch who has forgotten this time!!!"

Asking BJP to learn lessons from Gujarat defeat while ignoring Rahoolbaba's umpteenth successive defeat is similar to that.

BJP battled anti-incumbency, Patidar movement, absence of Modi as CM candidate, DeMo and GST that would have affected the business men in the state.

In Himachal where there are no such issues Modi- Shah combine mopped the floor with Rahoolbaba.
