MMS in meeting?
by nraors on Dec 19, 2017 10:05 AM

As an individual or as congress representative, attending meeting seems ok. But not conveying it to country or even open access to such confidential meeting is not correct. He must understand that he was ex PM & must be answerable to deeds like this.

It is a wonder that meeting was attended by ex PM,Ex vice President etc. who were well conversant with present relation of India and Pakistan, hence, this meeting can not be justified on any ground rather it falls in clause of .........?

Total biased article which promotes only pseudo nationalism

When the previous govt didnt visit Pakistan to isolate it internationally then why did narenddra modi visited pakistan to swing his hands with sharif. Why did modi govt invite isi to pathankot base? Was it right for the prime minister of country to use these cheap tactics and falsely accuse the previous army chief and prime minister just for votes? Prime minister has stooped too low this time for votes. If meeting them was so bad then why was he granted visa by govt. He was just old friend from cambridge

meeting at MSAiyer
by Ravindra Bhangaonkar on Dec 18, 2017 09:14 PM

In the first place such dinner party or meeting need not have been called by MSA(as it was at his place). This is clearly wrong on the part of the participants of the meeting. Clear govt was not aware of this; or was not made aware after the meeing. Former PM, VP, CAS attending... what can one say as all of these learned persons are very much aware of foreign relations. These people should express lapse on their part.

Should Ansari, Singh have attended Aiyar's dinner?
by Sudhir Jatar on Dec 18, 2017 04:11 PM

Colonel Athale has done well to put the record straight. He has very clearly brought out that our "patriots" did not follow the "rules" for such a meeting e.g. prior information to the government, follow up report and so on. Next, he asks whether it is ethical and the answer of course in a big "NO" and he has given the opposition response in 1971 war when Mrs IG was the PM and ruling party's complete trust in the Opposition when Narasimha Rao chose Vajpayee to lead the Indian delegation to the UN to discuss Kashmir. I for one am not surprised by the response of a Standard VII pass or fail leader and her sycophants because the leader has no clue of statecraft or strategy. Forget about knowing the true meaning of "democracy".
Ansari is the one who sabotaged the Lok Pal bill by abruptly adjourning the Rajya Sabha when the bill was about to be passed. Aiyar is the one who went to Pakistan and reportedly told the Pakis that Modi should be ousted. Wonder if he asked their help? And sad but true MMS presided over the most corrupt government in Indian history, which excelled in looting the country.

On one hand the article says that the meeting should have taken place with the knowledge and permission of the ruling government, but on the other it says it is perfectly legal but was it ethical. I am confused.
