Gujarat elections
by Chandrasekharan Nair on Dec 19, 2017 08:49 PM

BJP is back in governance in Gujarat once again though with reduced majority than it secured in 2012. One should not forget that the Party is back in power for 5th consecutive term which is indeed commendable. Inspite of ganging up of the so called four Rahul, Hardik, Alpesh and Mevani and using their might and fighting tooth and nail, they could not capture power in the State which they should ntrospect. BJP lost its way only in Saurashtra, whereas in other regions of the State, they have performed well equal to 2012. The party should analyse this aspect and prepare for making up this shortfall in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP's 99

It is a pity with all the resources of money, power and camping of Modi Shah in Gujerat for many days, they could not muster even a hundred. Now they will start buying to increase the tally.

It is not joke to win 5th time consecutively. Do not cast shadow on the BJP victory.

BJP has won , no doubt it is victory which ardently I wished. I feel it is the time to make examination of Its conscience, properly analyse and do all the rectification. There is nothing much to happy about . Hope the party is realising the undercurrent and If not appropriately handled, 2019 continuity would be a Dream and tough fight. There is enough time. Let the leaders use their words sensibly, avoid controversial and negative statements against other leaders which now boomerang BJP. Lets all work together so that continuity is ensured, Otherwise all the good works will go in vein. The results will be reaped by the opposition forming next Govt

Rural jobs and farm produce MSP for BJP in budget
by rajesh venkatraman on Dec 19, 2017 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

Next step for BJP whoever is their CM candidate is to makesure that the farming community is satisfied with benefits to be seen on ground and any project work done should be shown to the people as the work of the BJP especially if any central sponsored scheme so people can relate to who is giving them the benefits. For farmers they will need to be trained in the use of organic farming and reduce the use of pesticide and fertilizers which will diminish the nutrients of the soil and instead use organic like ash, neem leaves and oil, cow dung, skin of onion, garlic etc more to rejenuvate the soil. Address the water needs of the farmers and the final produce should have good market value. Food processing plants and industries can be setup in remote rural areas which will also give jobs to locals as well as the farm community is happy.
Improve rural infra by giving more jobs to local and maintenance of the rural assets, community farming will help the farmers to collectively take ownership and also soil testing be done regularly.
Reduce wastage of water resources, recharging the ground water by having more water bodies and dry borewells so rain water during monsoon is not lost. improve more greenery in the villages with fruit bearing and spices or cash crop alternative to the maincrop like neem trees, jatropa etc
