of desperate and extremely foolish commitments he has given to caste groups, it would be really good for Rahul Gandhi if the Congress loses the Gujarat election !

The dynast got advice from the wrong men !

He ought to have focussed on the gigantic scale of corruption indulged in by the Narendra Modi govt using croxny capitalists !

He ought to have spoken long and hard about how such large scale theft of public wealth by the Modi govt has compromised vitally needed investments in the social sector (public healthcare, public education, NREGS, sanitation, drinking water supply, etc) that are mostly needed even by the middle classes !

He ought to have talked long and convincingly about how Modi is desperately trying to hide such massive theft of public wealth with diversionary talk about hyndu.....muxlim.....hyndu.....muxlim....pakistan....temple......patriotism......hyndu..... !!

But.......of course, Rahul Gandhis own party is guilty of this very same crime (albeit on a smaller scale) !!

And he does not have the oratorical skills to persuade many people that it would be in their interests to switch to a relatively smaller thief that the Congress party is !

Pompous gibberish cliched BS
by auryas on Dec 18, 2017 08:19 AM

We are so mired in this pompous , cliched gibberish such as 'taking battle to the rival camp', 'whatever be the outcome, he gave a good fight' for such a long time that we have forgotten what the outside world lookslike.

This is not some 1995 New Delhi press club one should be boasting about the spoils the evening before. This is 2017 and the reader is a new animal.

Bullsh^t will take you that far.

What is it ? Whatever be the outcome, Rahul Gandhi has taken the fight to rival camp. Guess RaGa has been there since time immemorial. He has been campaigning for the last two elections wasn't he ?

SO what changed between 2008 and now ? Just because he became the congress president ( either way the congress presidentship staying in the kitchen anyway).

Why do these people try to manufacture so called achievements overnight and make us all stun.

migrant workers from Kerala than into Kerala.

You are right!

But while most migrant workers from north India are in blue collar unskilled jobs and are mostly illiterate or had just about seen the first few years of school, most migrants from Kerala are in white collar jobs and have at least got past school finals!

Don't believe me?

Just refer to any of the numerous reports about it available on the website of the Union ministry of labour or any of the numerous independent academic studies!

And if you are not really aware of this big difference, you are surely a big ignoramus indeed!

And just why are those impoverished, semi starving crores of Biharis, U.Pites, M.Pites, Oriyas, Jharkhandis, Chattisgarhis, Rajasthanis, etc. not able to get to the GCC countries as the lower middle classes from Kerala do and earn enough to graduate into the middle class ?

Why ?

Only because they are too illiterate (the GCC countries labour laws mandate a minimum qualification of matriculation even for low end jobs such as drivers, shop assistants, simple construction machinery operators, etc.) and too stupxid in general to understand the importance of adjusting to different food, different cultures, different languages, different climates and different laws !

Even in Kerala, in the ghettos they make for themselves, migrant north Indian workers live in filth and squalor despite water being abundantly available and don't defecate in the open only because they fear the local populace!

Whats the credit of RaGa in all this?
by sujit chitale on Dec 17, 2017 11:18 PM

2014 was different. In 2014 Congress was evaluated as a ruler of this country and BJP was only an opposition party trying to expose the govt of Congress.
Now the roles have reversed and therefore BJP has to take Congress whose job is now to just ask questions more seriously.

Fighting an election as opposition party is easy as one does not have to justify what you did in last five years except resisting govt on every decision.

Shekhar Gupta knows this and even after that poses as if this a victory of RaGa.

Results tomorrow will show how seriously people have taken RaGa and that even after all this intelligent questioning whether he has been able to make any dent in psychi of people.

Shekhar Gupta knows probably that he may not get to make this supposedly intelligent RaGa comment tomorrow when the results would be out.

Couple of centuries back when Napoleon was ruling the roost in Europe, Pitt then PM of Briton had looked at the map of Europe and just told his colleagues to roll it up as it will not be required for next few years at least.

For Congress it is the same situation. For next few years they need to roll up the map of India and just keep quiet. Their chance of opening that map early was lost when they chose or selected RaGa to lead them as President of Congress.
